I am a Celtic Christian Priest, duly prepared and ordained in the Anam Cara Conference; the Celtic Studies branch of the New Methodist Conference. I am an ardent student of Celtic, Hebrew, and Christian Spirituality, History, and Culture, with a particular passion and respect for the inherent holiness of Nature, and a desire to foster healing and wholeness in the hearts of people, and in all of Creation. In addition to my priestly work, I am a Natural Learning facilitator, retreat and workshop facilitator, poet, lyricist, and a children's minister in my local Episcopal Church. Once upon a time I was the lead singer of a rock band, as well as a classical voice major. I appreciate diversity!
I reside in the Nashville, Tennessee area with my husband, three beautiful children, and Bobo the Wonderdog.
Many moments of our lives call for pause and celebration. I am available to help create and facilitate Celebrations of Life such as weddings, baptisms, and memorials, as well as other uniquely personal celebrations and rites of passage. From traditional to alternative, from the quiet and simple to elaborate ritual, with respect for individual beliefs and preferences, I find great joy in the creative process and celebration of the human journey.
About Saint Brigid, Patroness of Oak Abbey
The role of the Spiritual Director is that of Holy Listening. Today's spiritual directors have been greatly influenced by the Celtic tradition of the Anamchara; the soul friend. Most of us experience times in our lives when we need someone to listen, not just to us, but with us. You may benefit from spiritual direction if you are presently facing a time of change, struggle, or growth requiring discernment or healing. Sessions typically last one hour and take place in person, or via telephone if necessary.
In addition to composing liturgy for celebrations, I am a published writer with experience in writing personalized poems, prayers and songs for special occasions and personal inner healing. With a bit of background I can begin the process of creating a meaningful keepsake or gift of healing for you or a loved one. You may wish to visit my blog, located on wordpress.
